This sweet cotton cap is a documented piece of history! Drafted in our shop from paintings, existing collections, and reproductions, this Dormeuse cap is all ready for your 18th century impression. This style probably inspired the not-so-historically-accurate round 'Mob Cap', but this is the real thing! Wear for 18th century, colonial, and early American reenacting!
Made of 100% cotton (not as often documented as linen, but definitely there!); genuine lucet drawstring, handwoven in our shop, is used at the back for adjustment. Fits most head sizes, and will accommodate a good bit of hair!
Can be purchased plain and finished as desired, or with red or pink ribbons to be worn crossed at the back neck and brought up to the top of the band to tie in a bow.
